Ensete Maurelii Summary
A young small plant offered here, but one you want!A relative of the Banana or Musa plants, the Ensete group have shorter more stout "stems", and Maurelii thrusts its leaves skyward, growing from this small 15cm plant up to around 6 feet in a single season!
Starting as fairly green, these take on a red-burgundy tinge around the edges of the leaf as the summer comes along and sunlight and temperatures increase.
As such, you get colour, structure and height, all from this one plant!
No tropical garden should be without one!
In the winter, either discard or dig up, dry out, and store indoors for next year, as these do not like frost at all!
